Automatic instructions with every message remain exclusive to Pro and are enabled in the Mac app’s settings. The plugin supports questions on demand; it does not add any hooks. Buy Pro in the iPhone app and share it with your Mac through your iCloud account.

Start on your Mac

  1. Install JaugeAI for Mac 0.5.15 or later in Applications, open the app and wait for a first reading.
  2. In Settings › Services › Coding agents, enable “Questions on demand” for your assistant.
  3. Open a new conversation and ask how much you have left on your subscriptions.

Prefer installing a plugin?

Download the archive above and unzip it. The jaugeai-marketplace folder contains the plugin and its local catalogs. Use the commands for your assistant, adjusting the path if needed.

Claude Code

claude plugin marketplace add "$HOME/Downloads/jaugeai-marketplace"
claude plugin install jaugeai@jaugeai

Codex

codex plugin marketplace add "$HOME/Downloads/jaugeai-marketplace"
codex plugin add jaugeai@jaugeai

Choose one method per assistant: the app setting or the plugin. When switching to the plugin, disable “Questions on demand” in the app first to avoid duplicate tools.

After installation, restart your client and open a new conversation. Depending on your Codex version, also enable the plugin in its directory. The archive’s README explains installation and removal.

Your data, your choice

The MCP server runs on your Mac with no network connection of its own and no additional credentials. The results it returns are included in the conversation with your chosen assistant: that assistant’s privacy rules apply. JaugeAI does not receive this data.

A few details

Do I need to install JaugeAI?

Yes. The Mac app collects and updates readings. The plugin queries them; it does not connect to your Claude or Codex account. The app must have completed a first reading.

Does it work in ChatGPT or Claude on the Web?

This version is for clients that run a local MCP on your Mac, starting with Claude Code and Codex. It is not a hosted Web connector.

Why might an analysis require Pro?

Current quota checks and reset times are free from Mac 0.5.15. History, project analysis, API-equivalent estimates, subscription value, forecasts, live sessions and tips through the MCP remain exclusive to JaugeAI Pro. Your assistant tells you when you request one of those analyses.

What if my Mac stops updating readings?

The MCP retains the last observation date. Your assistant should flag old readings rather than present them as live measurements.
